Cocktail Culture in the Mad Men Era

NABB Special Events Presents :

Fashion Talk ”Cocktail Culture: The Mad Men Era”

Cocktail parties in the home have been popular since the 1920’s. Please join us on Wednesday, June 9 at 7pm, as fashion historian, Karen Antonowitz helps us look at cocktail culture fashion as we travel through time. We will focus on silhouettes in clothing from the late 1940’s through the 1970’s and will explore connections between fashion and cocktails during this period, not only in clothing styles but also in home décor and accessories.

Karen holds degrees in fashion design and merchandising and has taught Fashion History at the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Rhode Island. She conducts workshops and lectures on all eras of fashion history and owns her own collection of intriguing clothing which she will share with us at the end of her program.

You won’t want to miss this fun and informative program that will be of interest to both men and women! Prepare to laugh and be amazed!

This is a free presentation but registration must be made at specialevents@nabbonlin.org. by the cutoff date of Tuesday, June 6th.

We are looking forward to seeing you then.
